My Super Overdue Post

Holla! :D

see? i'm such a good blogger, ain't I? I took some time off from my quest in conquering Mount Further Maths to pen a few words..and stick some pictures on my blog clipboard here. :) hehe.

last friday was the human monopoly activity..one of the many orientation activities that the superb seniors have put together for us..seriously TARC orientation activities are one of the best around..! ( i think...gosh I sound like I'm being paid to promote them or something-whatever!)
sun-drenched , sweat-dripping ,woke-up-at-5 look
SU HUI the so-called Innocent One. Looking at her photo. ahas.
omg. didn't know TARC promotes violence. lawl. kiddin. one of the "highlights" of this human monopoly was the "pulling" game. well. how can I put it? but i can say that some of the students really have a violent streak, lol, they were pulling soooo damn hard that i got a bruise on my arm. We were grouped into groups of 10, mine named Blue Sparrow(actually I wanted blue monkey cos it sounded cool ,ahas-but some of my girls objected,so cool blue sparrow it is then). So,during the "pulling" game, the emcee will choose few groups to be the perpetrator and some other groups to be the victim . the perpetrators have to pull (with all the mighty strength they've got) *ouchs* the victims from their group. And if they succeeded in doing so, the person pulled out by them will be the new member of their group. eventually the groups will be growing in size..and 50 groups of 10 people diminished to about 10! but the golden rule was boys must NOT touch/pull girls. sadly to say some bad apples spoiled the mood and pulled the girls without heeding anything. poor girls. my friend su hui was one of them. she was kicking at that guy. the emcee had to stress his point later. first time seeing him so serious. haha
Man Of The Day....Tommy!

Human monopoly reminds me of my ex-school Seri suria's 2008 Teachers Day. we were required to run from one station to another.not to mention the campus is agonisingly-huge. i was sweating buckets from all that running. the games were rather interesting. I can only remember a few such as volleyballoon, where the volleyball is substituted with a balloon..haha we won that cos we have such pro volleyball-ers, Soup yee Min and Little Yee Min (lol, private joke). the other one was reminiscent of my prefect camp. where we have to hold the chair with the water balloon with our waists binded. gosh what a task that was! climbing up stairs. this was much easier but we were provided with newspaper instead of a chair. something easily torn. confirmed our worst fears when the newspaper indeed, tore into half. so we lost that challenge.dum.

One of the interesting things about this game is that we're allowed to pawn our stuff at the pawn shop if we run out of tokens. at the start of the game, each team was allocated 10 tokens. and we were pitted against any random team when we reach each station. if we win, we get to grab the 10 tokens or the amount of tokens that each team agreed to bet on. if u lose, ur tokens go into the hands of the other group .

wow.damn exhausted lor.wonder if I lost any kilogrammes that day.

after human monopoly have to rush over to M block for OO night second audition. that day I told u guys about the 1st audition rite? that same night I received an unknown sms stating that I was picked for the 2nd round. haha happy sial. :D aiyo but short-lived joy. cos by the time I'm writing this one, they had already chosen the finalists . and i'm not in the list. but its ok, I aint devastated either. just go in for the fun. haha. but weird. they asked me to catwalk only. I was kinda stunned. because I didn't practise my best catwalk yet. whatevers. I just strutted the best i could. i guess it wasn't good enough. :P

this week was just homework. huffy-puffy.

FURTHER MATHS seems like further maths now, at 1st i was jumping for joy at discovering further maths was no mount everest. now i've discovered its true colours d. =(
the usual mess i make at home. spot my new calculator? haha
GP tutorial + economics ref book
take two.
I highlighted it out of boredom.

ollie-rollie-pollie-nomials. the greeks are 'great'. alpha, beta, gamma, delta, what else? phi, mu..?

sem breaks coming soon..wth? so soon? the timing is awkward cos we've just spent two weeks in coll, now hols then non-stop studying for god-knows how long only another break.

geeez.

When?

When can i update my blog? I know my blog is boring my readers to death nowadays since I'm in college already..so people will expect more posts but no, my blog is as boring as ever. I've been getting less traffic here, proven by my ever-efficient web hit counter..sighs..college is fun and I've met some "very interesting" people who keep my day at coll alive with their cold jokes, humurous barbs and self-proclaimations about themselves.

but polynomials is keeping me busy. not to mention the familiar enemy, physics. gosh. i hate drawing graphs la.and findin the stupid gradient and y-intercept.

my further pure maths lecturer is a sadist. proven. by the way he talks with glee when he was scribbling down rather hastily the workings for a particular tough question. while we are strugglin to cope with his pace, without actually understanding it.

Busy Bee

went home late these two days cos there were some orientation activities in store for us.
Society Day on wednesday, followed by audition for OO night today.

classes ended at 3 yesterday...went to the sports complex together with su hui, ting ting, + new kakiis James, Aaron aka fake Lee hom aka PS cube and their Chong Hwa gang.

Aaron aka fake Lee Hom aka PS cube was talkin bout how "much" he resemble lee hom along the way..although we were doubtful about that, he provided us with entertainment with his perasan-ness . and by the way, PS cube stands for PSSS which is the acronym for Perasan Siao Syok Sendiri. (cos his best pal, james keep complaining to me that he is "crazy"). I just keep laughing like mad.

previously, I mentioned in my blog that I'm most likely to join SWC(student welfare committee) because it seems fun! but I just went there to give other societies a swift look before registering for SWC. u know, in case I stumble upon something more interesting than SWC =)

there's the Chinese society, Music society, Askar Wataniah, Swimming Club(the guys were drooling over this because of the chance to see girls in swimwear =.=), Buddhist society, Hindu society, First Aid Unit, Community Service, Econs society, SMS (not short messagin service-Science & maths society!), Photography..and alot more..I was hoping to join tennis..boohoo! no tennis for this sem (according to the person on duty)..other sports also gone MIA..lol..

in the end, joined SWC so did ting ting, chris, james, aaron...and some of my other classmates..Su Hui joined Buddhist Society (=.= how religious of her..)

lepak-ed in sports complex with the guys for fifteen minutes while waiting for dad to fetch me..

Today, Ting Ting suggested that we tryout for the OO night audition in order to get a stamp to redeem the OO and TT night ticket. According to her, and her 'well-informed sources', we just have to attend the OO night briefing and then they will easily give us the stamp we're so dying for..and ta-dah! OO and TT night ticket in our hands. But no, her well informed sources wasn't so well-informed after all, since we've to go thru the whole auditioning process! *gasps*

but the whole thing turned out to be quite okay...well I'll just wait with an open mind for the result, whether I'm chosen or not..If i'm chosen then its a bonus, if not then I am fine with it..not desperate..by the way if u guys don't know what's OO night, it used to be a so-called beauty pageant..but for this year, the committee has decided to revamp the whole thing and this year's OO night is something more useful. It's used to pick our college's ambassadors, one for each school namely SPUS,SBS,SAS,SOT and SSSH. unlike previous years, where the winner wins solely on beauty and then his/her name will hilang sooner or later. this year they're gonna promote the 4 finalists from each school. and the finalists are picked based on beauty, leadership qualities, talent, brains, cause for charity..bla bla..since the winner will be endorsing the charity that tarc's about to launch...

1st we have to fill in a form..with all our particulars, then go for measurements =.=, i didn't know my leg would be that long- 103 cm! *jumps around like an easter bunny*..next we were classified into the P group and C group. I'm in the P group. People from P group are required to go for two interview sessions and we have to take snapshots. Lol. Whereas people from C group are only required to go for one interview session.

They fired many questions to me , but luckily I was able to answer them smootly *phew* I was in the same room with another girl..she asked whether the interviewer can converse in English..the guy was like so sarcastic, oh I forgot all my chinese already! Ha-dee-ha. poor girl.

Human monopoly tomorrow.. =D

Mass Call

Basically now I'm bloggin from the CIT centre of TARC..which is the IT centre...to kill time whilst waiting for my dad to fetch me to MidValley for california fitness.

Classes started at 8 today *yawns* and ended at 10..u might ask..why so early? cos there is an event called mass call waiting for us in the college hall...

boy, were there so many humans studyin in TARC? we had to line up for half an hour to get our college tee...and the college handbook..geez

crammed ourselves like a tin of sardin into the college hall..then the emcees briefed us bout this and that....actually kinda boring..as we SPUS students had already gone thru most of the briefing..

basically this whole week will be the orientation week...auditions are also being held for OO and TT night...Then there will be the society day on wednesday, human monopoly on fri..

Classical Side

Hey look guys! its a bird.no! an aeroplane! nah..its my new header..nice? xD

created by Miss Yvonne Lee..credits to her..FOC..haha thats the advantage of having an art genius as a best friend..=P

rate her creation at my cbox pls.. ;)

A-levels start officially....NOW!

Received our timetable on Tuesday. quite satisfied with the timetable as on few days my classes starts at 9 or 10 am and some will end at 2 pm (the earliest) and 4 pm (the latest). compared to the students who took Combination C(with all the sciences inside), ours is much much bearable. They have classes at 8 every morning and sometimes extend mostly to 4 pm. Cos they have their lab classes. Hee. I only have one which is Physics.

Didn't post about yesterday cos it was nothing much, really. Briefing from all the student bodies and societies..well, still Student Welfare Committee interests me the most. =)
Had ice-breaking session yesterday, where we are all required to scribble our names, mobile number and e-mail on a piece of paper, hand it over to our seniors and they will randomly distribute it to other people. so when other people get our contacts, they can have the option of calling , texting , emailing us or just dump it into the nearest bin. Well ,most people did not do the last one (hopefully). Mine was given to a girl from the C class if not mistaken.

The next ice-breaking activity was to gather all the students from the same state. Then they can get to know each other. Selangor and KL..well as expected,we formed a really big majority group.

Today was the official day to start A-level studies..i'm in SN10R..wonder what does SN10R stand for? S stands for science stream..N10 stands for nov 2010..our a2 level exam month..and R,well just a class name. =D

there are 32 SN10Rians..so far the bonding between us hasn't really worked out..we have yet to elect a class rep..seems like everyone in their own cliques..but I'm sure the situation will improve soon..after all we're learning to adapt to a new environment..

finally, I found an interesting physics teacher..! (no offence to suria teachers =P). goes by the name of mr Soh beng seng..he likes to crack jokes..and by that I dont mean dry jokes like mr benjamin does..(lasted-for-few-months physics teacher in suria)..mr ding is the pure maths and further pure maths lecturer..his accent is unique..lol..

the econs lecturer , miss hoo..she presents herself like...let me see..an entrepreneur-turn-motivator? lol..i mean the way she dresses...and talks..

it was raining at 2 pm and in TARC, raining is definitely not a good thing as the campus is not shaded entirely..and..its HUGE! so if u wanna walk from the lecture hall to the library..aha..congrats to u..in this situation ,to me..cos my dad said he'll be late to fetch me and I'll have to tumpang at the library for 1 hour..even though my ID card is not ready yet and I can't borrow any books..went with su hui.thanks for being my tour guide..my sense of direction is bad..bad bad! I've yet to established a real memory of the campus buildings and all...depending on my classmates...=D

Day 1: 2 friends
Day 2: 6 friends
Day 3: 10 friends

..........and counting! =D

TARCian in the making

okay. 1st day of college. dont want to be paranoid and wake up extra early but I did. Mum's orders . =X

she said so that I can avoid the usual morning KL jam. well, right-said mum cos it was friggin jammed. luckily dad used another alternative route to get to setapak.

turns out this route was even nearer. hehs. kudos to dad who successfully *phew* navigated his way thru the confusing roads of KL to fetch me to TARC. *he usually gets it wrong..shh*

reached way earlier than the time we A-level students are supposed to gather there..gathered at DK B...the STPM students are in DK A..

scanned the crowd..any leng luis or leng zais (=P) ...a few la..hehe..i think i saw suet yin if not mistaken...but not so sure so dont dare to call her..=S other than that, no familiar faces =(

The student helpers (the seniors i think) distributed some forms for us to fill..we were given the itinerary too..the orientation schedule..all talks =.= well have to bear with it the whole day!

The 1st talk was by Ms. Hwang Cha Chee (sounds like a korean name to me)..she gave me the impression of a young female commando officer! =D it was like..u cannot do this..u know what i'm trying to say? its almost like rapping, ya' know what i'm talking bout?

After her talk, we terpaksa move to DK C..because people were sweatin so much it could almost trigger a flood! =P alrite exaggerating but the hall..was..OMFG hot! everybody was fanning themselves with the itinerary... =D

the seniors led us to DK C after a loooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnng walk from DK B. aiyo .seriously sweat is dripping like a flowing tap of water.

Next was the talk by head of SPUS , Madam Looi...she said she's our "kai ma" or godmum and we can run to her when we need a shoulder to cry on but no home-cooked food! haha seriously she got us laughing and "bersemangat" again.

next was all the *yawns* subject intro by the lecturers..bla bla..dont wan to go into detail about that part..but one thing for sure...FURTHER MATHS IS GONNA BE SO SO SO SO TOUGH to study, the lecturer said, dont say I never warned u all huh..

nvm. i stuck with the same combination. so what tough? i'll make u,further math, kowtow to me. =P

luckily I found one girl who's in the same combination with me. think so we're gonna be in the same class since there's only one class for combination B. (assuming there aren't a barrage of sudden mind-changers who opt to take up comb. B la). her name's su hui, from klang. and she reminds me of ning xin..the way she laughs and everything..the other girl I got to know was li jun, all the way from johor...but taking comb. C. too bad.

aiyo . seems like my class gonna have alot nerds la. lol. *prays hard for that not to happen* see i so suei la, =P

made up my mind already, gonna join Student Welfare Committee. seems pretty interesting. after all this are the guys who plan the TT (talent time) nite, OO (orientation odyssey) nite and prom nite.

went for quick lunch after all the sub talks. then back to DK C for library briefing. seriously I never knew there so many rules they could come up with for a library. and there 're so many facilities and whatever e-facilities that we could use. not bad. for FOC course. =P

tomorrow i'll be knowing wat class am I in and who will be my future buddies for 18 months =) starting classes on wednesday..hope I can get some pretty crazy wacky classmates. dont wanna study all the time and not have a single second to play.

Total agony

Pleasemygod. My leg is effing pain and the pain is soo agonising.

Went to California Fitness yesterday. Must have over-exercised. Ouchies.

Worked out continuously for 3 & a half hours. The maniac in me. =/

gah.super gah. yesterday this same pain almost killed my sleep. i woke up in the middle of the night, wriggling around on the bed because the pain from my calf muscle jolted me from my sleep.

I swear, the pain was the worst I've ever felt. even worst than the monthly one. I wasn't even twitching a muscle, just being stationary there and the pain kept goin after my muscles. =(

Somehow (fortunately) I fell asleep in the midst of all that pain and awoke to a (less) sore leg. But still, I ve been pretty helpless today. I cant stand around much. Makes me feel like a footballer who has snapped his hamstring or something.

Now the pain is still there and I can't help but wonder how on earth am i ever going to walk around TARC campus on monday? the thought just gives me the jitters. :(

pleasegod. i swear i will go easy on the stretching next time. pls? =/

A Girl Let Loose in A Shopping Mall

Girls can be pretty vicious creatures, in two conditions:

1. When you make them angry or jealous(Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned)
2. When you set them loose in a shopping mall (especially during the sales period)

As such, the author of this blog set upon "inflicting damage" on shopping malls in the city hub....well, i aint that terrifying lah.

Still, when u set loose a shopaholic in a shopping mall, it can make a pretty big hole in your purse. Except that purse is mine. But the joy of shopping was more worth it especially when you're paying by yourself. The sense of accomplishment. =)

painted my nails pink for the occasion. *winks

before goin out to pavillion
ta-dah! first guess watch.
I KNOW I KNOW pink again rite? but i assure you..there are less sightings of pink in my closet nowadays. * i love the diamonds adorning the circumference of the watch*
Supergirl tee that I bought that day

Walked around Pavillion the whole day with my mum. I'm a pretty picky shopper, so as u can see I need basically the whole day to make up my mind on a watch. *I can visualise shaking heads now*

Hunted for watches in Swatch, Fossil, Esprit and some other watch shops...finally saw this baby and fell for it. so sweet. =)

In between, bought two tees for college, one blue and one fuschia. (seen above).

I was sulking because I had made my mind on the sneakers that I want and..they're OUT OF SIZE! grrrrrrr...but luckily I didn't buy another one hastily..as on tuesday I went to Mid Valley and saw the same one with plenty of stock! (plus, cheaper too =P)

went to Mid Valley with my couzie and one of her friend to register for the California Fitness One month trial..mana tahu the guy said need appointment! =.= fine...so we went for a movie instead..X-men Origins: Wolverine..okay..I've to admit..I wasn't too keen on watching this movie..I thought it was like Star Trek or Star Wars type of movie...but I was proven wrong..it turned out to be a pretty good watch...Hugh Jackman..is HAWT! hahaha =D

The japanese(assuming) guy and the guy beside him were pretty hot too!

Dad came to MV after work, and I bought this:

RM 169 only..what a steal! hehe =D

P.S: taking a break today.shopping for two consecutive days is exhausting! maybe tomorrow heading for MV again.

Shopping List:
1. Bag
2. water tumbler
3. pencil case
4. Stationery
5. Socks
6. More clothes, perhaps? =D

To-do list:
1. Learn how to banish my flabs
2. Get a haircut before coll starts
3. Take a passport-sized photo for student ID (grr i hate passport photos-FUGLY)
4. Prepare the essential documents for 1st day of coll
5. Sleep early or eyebags will think they can stay here for life.
6. Exercise exercise!
7. Upload As many songs as possible into my mickey MP3
8. Get past level 2 in luxor. (idiotic gamer me.)

total randomness

I NEED A FEDORA! AN ADORABLE WHITE ONE! IT GOES WITH DOLLY SKIRTS!

crap: total randomness.

P.S: what if i buy it , and don't wear it? oh goshhhh :(

Shokuji shiyou- Lets Go & Eat

After a thorough conversation in MSN, me, Steph and Yvonne decided to treat ourselves to some quality Japanese cuisine. We agreed unanimously on Nippon Tei in KLCC after reading the rave reviews from satisfied customers.

This is Yvonne- the chaffeur of the day =P (jokin)
besties for life
while waiting for food, glorious food to come.

we were served hot green tea. mm. love green tea to the max.
was trying to capture the smoke rising out of the cup..sadly,failed
Me & my eyebags.
posing with a pair of wooden chopsticks.

looks like a knife here? =.=
Steph and I both ordered the same set. Teriyaki Salmon and Tempura set (RM 31.00)
assorted tempura (eggplant, prawn, potato and lady's finger)

japanese salad is the best! i simply cant resist their dressing. not plain old mayo or thousand island.there's something special to that flavour! mm i taste vinegar.
I AM..waiting to tear into the food. lol . but first, lets take a picture of it before I devour everything down my stomach.

chawan mushi. now,is it a coincidence that chawan sounds like cawan(cup in malay)? plus, the steamed egg is in a cute little cup!
pickles-as appetisers
Yvonne's Teriyaki beef Set (RM 34.00) comes with baby octopus!!!!
miso soup.
after meal.

The Verdict:
Teriyaki Salmon & Tempura Set- The salmon is fresh and the sauce blends well with the fish. Not too sweet. The tempura is well-fried. a little golden and not too brownish. the batter is crispy and not too oily. Miso Soup is not too salty or not tasteless, unlike some cheap miso soup where they mix in plenty of water. however, one thing they forgot to put in was seaweed(wakame). The rice wasn't too sticky and I like the tempura sauce which had some ginger strips in it. Chawan mushi was okay, not too watery. Thumbs up to the salad. I think its awesome. Just missing some cherry tomatoes.

Yvonne's set-Didn't get any comments from her. but she finished up her meal pretty fast. must be a good sign then.

A movie is always like a dessert after a meal, we opted for a chick flick-He's Just Not That Into You. I find the movie light-hearted and realistic. Plus, there are some pretty down moments for those ladies and there's a twist to the end. I did shed some tears at the end (can't help =P)

Been craving for ice-cream . Gelato Fruity then.
Yvonne's chocolate ice-cream, my chocolate mint and Steph's white chocolate. Mint is the BEST! plus their bacio flavour is also to die for.

reached home at 7 something. planning some yum cha sessions. anybody up for it?

30/4 Au Revoir Station One

It has been four months of ups and downs, madness and sadness for me.
Although I can honestly say that working is not as enjoyable as studying, I truly cherished the experience I had in Station One. (P.S: plus, my cantonese improved! =P)

"zha Jeong Min" (spicy fried sauce noodle) the last lunch I had in Station One as an employee.

two fellas lost in slumberland. notice the way they complement each other when they sleep? opposite sides.
haha.such a sweet couple. =P (nah,they are straight)
seriously, they really look like a godsend pair when they sleep.
me (in the centre) with my fun colleagues, connie(left) and Pei Sin (right)

Besides the monetary benefit, working there has made me more independent and sociable...As we have to deal with different types of customers..from the polite ones to those tough nuts to the demanding ones and not to mention, "otak serong" ones (u know wat i mean =P)

Letting go of my working life and looking forward eagerly to my college life! However, as Steph said, nothing can replace our high school memories. High school life was the most fun we ever had.
