its a leap year baby~!

today is the 29th of feb..which means this year 2008 is a leap year, once every 4 years, u get an extra day! this is because of the earth rotating 365 and one quarter days every year. and four years..this adds up to one day! so every 4 years we have 29th of feb..i really pity those leap year babies..they only get to celebrate their birthday once every 4 years...its like waiting for the olympics or the world cup...
they might still be kiddies now..

if someone is 28 years old and born on 29th of feb,
he/she is actually ONLY 7 YEARS OLD~! kiddo~

remember the SHE song " I Dont wanna Grow Up". well i guess its kinda true for those 29th feb babies~

anyway back to the main topic, today is the last assessment paper for the week! yahoo! well, nothing much to be happy about except that we'll have 2 and a half days free from assessment!

today's subjects were add maths (groans) and pmoral(more groans).
well, this time i finished all the questions in add maths! yippy! 1st time, u know! everytime during exam i would have uncertain answers all half-way workings or blank answer spaces.

but then, i found out i made one mistake which cost me 3 marks. shucks. hope that ms. fam is sympathetic enough to give me markah kasihan for the workings.

pmoral is basically a lame , lame, lame subject. does scoring A1 in moral make u orang yang bermoral? not really..actually the ministry should remove the pmoral theory part and concentrate on the practical part, which is what matters. i mean, people can cheat in the theory part..maybe they write lots of good stuff in their essay about toleransi, amanah, blah blah blah and in real life, they might be some hothead who always picks a fight with others or a greedypot who takes rasuah (now, what's rasuah in english already? can some one pls enlighten me?)

and my conclusion is: PMORAL IS THE LAMEST SUBJECT EVER. add maths is still logical, forgoddesssake. and in add maths, we're not forced to "praise" ourselves in the answer that we are berdikari(oh yeah, like for real), we are rajin (was I? hmm..guilty..) , we are toleransi...(yea,. yea, yea, then there wont be so many catfights in our school), we are..blah blah blah......

1st day of ASS-essment

today was basically the 1st day of our school's inaugural ASS-essment.
may i remind those who of u who are ignorant to our school's new system, that ms. julia (the ex principal or whatever her post was) suggested this "wonderful" idea before leaving for Wheretheheckistan (LOL i got this term from Rose's dumb diary book~). so we students are made to slog it out early of the year~compared with previous years 1st term exam, which was around the end of march. thanks alot.

but, still ASS-essment wasn't nearly that bad. as a matter-of-fact, it was better than the real exam (okay now the thanks is sincere and not sarcastic tone anymore) because it saved my hand from overwriting and damaging my epidermis and my finger muscles ~ouchies. subject of the day was BAHASA MALAYSIA, not bahasa melayu anymore(due to the gov's idea to implement semangat perpaduan so they use a national term, Malaysia, instead of only referring to the bumiputeras) and EST.
and as a coincidence, our topic for karangan berpandu was also SEMANGAT PERPADUAN! easy-peasy topic. steph and kha hoi gave me a scare when they said teacher X said pilihan raya will come out. i only know that fong po kuan is not contesting anymore, other than that i dont really have much knowledge on pilihan raya. okay, i know the david vs. goliath battle in seputeh area. ok ok i confess yesterday i read the whole election part in THE STAR newspaper.

other than karangan berpandu, we have a barber's puisi(LOL not sadistic sweeney todd), & tatabahasa. the tatabahasa part was funny. i mean, my friends answer are funny. one part required us to change the istilah atau penggunaan tatabahasa yang salah, and the sentence goes like this:
Di musim cuti sekolah, kanak-kanaklah yang seronok kerana dapat melawat nenek di kampung.

My answer: pada musim cuti sekolah, kanak-kanaklah yang seronok kerana dapat menziarahi nenek di kampung.

Min Yee: Pada musim cuti sekolah, kanak-kanak(she remove the lah only) yang seronok kerana dapat melawati nenek di kampung.

Set Wern: pada musim cuti sekolah, kanak-kanaklah yang gembira(what's the diff between seronok and gembira?) kerana dapat melawati nenek di kampung.

Kar Lin: pada musim cuti sekolah, kanak-kanaklah yang seronok kerana dapat melawat NENEK DAN DATUK di kampung. (!!!!!) seriously ,we roared with laughter when we heard what kar lin wrote. she said teacher left the datuk out, so she say sure got visit datuk also ma. swt =.=

EST was kinda lame actually. i preferred obj questions or even essay. i dont mind writing essay rather than answer subj comprehension questions. about ATM machines. oh yes, i've seen one, but hell i donno what it does~! and i donno how it works~ @.@

well, guess what happened today? our very own prankster/miss mischievous of 5 joy LEE KHA HOI got tricked by us today .

normally, she would be the one hiding our stuff (eherms especially my purse, which i've reminded her the stats that she hid my purse about more than 5 times ) but today, she got a taste of her own medicine! Yay! haha me being a sadist again~=P

it started like this. jiunn huah took all her stationaries and stuffed them into her tupperware bag. and then we exchanged her tupperware bag with rose's because both of theirs look alike. so she kept searching high and low for her pens. and we were laughing so hard because its sweet revenge for me and steph, being the victims of her antics.

finally, after a world record of 50 mins ++, she finally found her pen when rose took up her tupperware to have a drink!

opened an account just for fun..ok..i confess..i opened a Myspace account because i want to check out cute Caucasian guys!

i found out that Malaysian Chinese preferred Friendster, while Malaysian Malays prefer MySpace. Caucasians mostly use Myspace~[based on my observation ]

i feel like i'm living the life in the fast lane~hectic schedule and everything~ i m wondering, how can celebrities handle all those promo tours and photo shoots and concerts and bla bla bla in one day? and they still look oh-so-fab in front of the camera (thanks to some eherm help from the plastic surgery field la). but dont they get tired? or fed up? i guess not since what's in their eyes are dollar signs! >.<

one week and 3 projects to finish : ADD MATHS, MATHS and CHEM. and we still have to revise for next week's assessment! holy god! i'm still unsure if i can handle all the chapters well or if i missed out the odd little question which i have no freaking idea how to do~ i'm always like that. all this while doing all this homework thing while balancing my comp time and tv time and sports time~goshhhh..talk bout being a great multi-tasker.~~~~

well maybe at least i've got integration on the tip of my fingers. at least, i think so. or maybe all this while i've just been imagining that i know all the stuff in integration and suddenly ms fam just shoots us with this weird application question in assesment which carries a whopping 10 marks and i 'll be cracking my head figuring out the solution.

enough bout crapping~ and i found out today that the chemistry peka experiment that i missed on netball mssd day , i had to do the peka nonetheless whether i did the experiment~ *#$@! (not swearing at anyone in particular)^^

so thanks again to all the teachers for the homework and thanks the already departed (LOL, like she's dead or something) ms. julia for the wonderful idea of making us students suffer(too early) the wrath of exams. [sarcastic tone ]

omfg! 2 days 'absent' to school and my homework list is overloaded! (i can hear the alarm ringing >.<) i went for two days MSSD netball tournament and this is what awaits me when i came back to school on friday. endless list of homework, projects, etc etc. shitting.

i've got a hectic weekend where i have to attend my father's long lost colleague's open house (like i care, duh) and on sunday i have to go visiting again. sighs. actually i wanted to attend the schools Hall of character opening but sighs too tired to make it. sorry steph.

i've just completed my maths homework on matrices and still doing bm komsas. urghhhh! and somemore assessment is around the corner. to the teachers can u all give us a break? we need some breathing space? i'm suffocating with homework piling on top of me ! gahh

P.S: just ignore my ramblings. i write this because frustration took over my mind.

another lonely valentine...

its valentine again. the time of the year where the girls are waiting to be swept off their feet by their prince charming. but wait, where's my prince charming? honestly, till now i still have NOT found my prince charming. of course i know he's somewhere in this world. but, for now, i will remain single. My broken heart is back in its rigid shape but its not fully mended. i need my space. maybe when i go to uni, maybe i will find mr right. or even when i work. no matter what, now i know what my priorities are when i choose a bf.

not really lonely actually~ i got a card! ^^ its personalised actually and made by a friend of mine named Sam (kae shiann). he dropped by my house just to give me the valentine card. so sweet of him. and i know he made a lot of effort to do the card but, behind the background i can spot the words I love u? omgosh! does he really love me? *teehee*

but still, will remain single for now. concentrate on studies. that day, jw asked me for the 3rd time be his gf. i said no. i dont want to hurt him. sorry if i hurt u~ pls move on..dont wait for me pls

CNY rocks~

why does CNY rocks? because we get to visit our friends' house! and get angpaos! wuuhuu! and attend a very wealthy friend's CNY open house! and has the perfect excuse to eat junk food~ weee~

as promised, me, Steph, Rose and Yvonne met up at my house at 11 something. i served them cookies and tidbits and candies (marshmellows and those adorable 'japan ' candies) and beverages...and provided them with entertainment in the form of TOM AND JERRY~ good old tom and jerry had us laughing on our backs~

the next stop is Yvonne's house. but before that we had lunch at Jusco Cheras Selatan Food and tea. We ordered a pizza-like bread(i forgot the name) it was all cheesy but not as crispy as pizza~woo love pizza! everybody was kinda stuffed on mua cookies and tidbits so we didn't order much just another fried dumpling and rose had a lemon drink~

my parents fetched us to yvonne's house ~ she gave us a tour of her house~ and then in her room, yvonne's cupboard door sort of gave way! it sort of collapsed a bit which gave me a fright because that was the exact spot i was standing on a few seconds ago! phew! and then yvonne shrugged like nothing happened (i mean, its not like everyday ur wardrobe door unhinges and falls down? that would be scary) and told her mum "Ma, the cupboard door drop down again" then her mum was like~ go ask ur bro to fix la..

next we headed off to steph's house. thanks to yvonne's mum for fetching us there in her green myvi...(kha hoi will be so 'green" with envy~LOL). when we reached steph house, her relatives were there too~ so we went in to her study room to play poker and blackjack (no gambling thou). i know how to play cho dai di but n0t blackjack which shocked them because black jack is like so common. (hey, yeah but when u have parents like mine who dont even touch poker cards, yet alone gamble) u really have no clue how to play this game. so thanks to y'all for "gau wai ngor' (did i mention that they taught me cho dai di too? sheesh).and i guessed i sat at the wrong place that day because i kept losing , no feng shui at all~ aargh

last stop:rose's mansion/villa/bungalow
always save the best for the last.because that's what i use to describe rose' open house. its fantabulous! we were again treated to buffet style dinner (unlike other buffet style dinner, hers was in fact quite yummy) and did i mention rose's mum's homemade blueberry cheese tart? yum!

before dinner we watched meet the spartans which is like the scary movie version of the movie 300. it has no plot at all~ and i think i spotted ugly betty, carmen electra and paris hilton inside~ LMAO

in rose house i got really addicted to this online dancing game called high street 5, i sucked at it thou~ but then i registered myself and voila! i got an account now and i can go back and dload the game from the website and playyy!

rose's dad hired a lion dance troupe to perform for us guests. wow like so grand. its like some VVIP's open house or something~

came back at 11 pm. went up to bath and straight down to living room to watch chelsea vs liverpool game.draw. went up to sleep at 2am. crazy footie fan huh??

the CNY post

well, guess what? it's the 2nd day of CNY already. guess our holidays aren't that long after all. and gosh, i have nobody to miss. ahahakx. exception of my BFFs whom i will meet up with on the 4th day of CNY.

1st day of CNY basically started with the traditional breakfast (or brunch?) of Hakka Vegetarian dish, The Bak Chit Kai (the white steamed chicken) and Siu Yuk. yum. delicious. siu yuk is my fav, but unfortunately its kinda fattening and i don wan to pack up the kilos, so i ate a few pieces only.the Hakka vegetarian dish which consists of glass noodle(dong fun), fucuk(lol, michelle, not fcuk) and the mushroom family(mushroom and muk yi-the black fungus) is edible, but i still yearn for the good ole days when my grandmother can still cook (her legs arent supporting her enough now). my grandma's version was simply irresistible. now that my aunt cooks it, its a wee bit oily and the aroma is not quite there.

after brunch, went with cousins to Jusco Cheras Selatan. and then i walked into FOS and guess what i found? A HARAJUKU LOVER TEE! its a must for me! its like original and nowhere to be found in Malaysia, so i bought it! its 29.90 bucks! cheeeap! will post the pix of the baju later.

walked around for awhile and then headed home. Si Jie came visiting with her hubby. So we munched on quite a number of CNY delicacies. nooo..the calories are packing up~ sighs. guess i have to work it out on the treadmill~

at night went to tesco EXTRA TAMAN MIDAH with my parents. i dono what 's so extra bout that tesco outlet because i dont see anything special bout it except that its more spacious than the kajang one. but..my father complained that the toll fee and the petrol cost has already exceeded the discount that tesco gave on their items. so might as well go to the kajang one.sheesh.

okie, gotta go to PEEJAY later to my aunt's house. for the time being,here's HAPPY CNY again to all of u loyal readers!

today was our school aka SEKOLAH SERI SURIA's annual cross country. i'm donning a green shirt for the occasion. okay, i'm in green house. even though green is absolutely not my fav colour, but u can consider me quite house-patriotic. goodness knows i've been in this house for god knows donkey years (i stole that phrase from MISS FAM, nice one, ms. fam *winks*), so i've developed some kind of green house patriotism. LOL

mr darmindar said that girls tak digalakkan to wear shorts but guess what? a lot of girls wear shorts too, including....me. yep. i'm naughty .whatever. but logically, its much easier to run a cross country race in shorts than some baggy, two-layered tracksuit. (I HATE THE SCHOOL's TRACKSUIT. when u perspire it can get very sticky. no air ventilation) >.<

mee kuan's one was err....kinda short.[dont kill me =P] mine and set's was standard. kar lin's one look like..er..boys shorts? maybe she borrowed it from her how how?? no offence ya..well..almost everybody ran except for a few..poi yen..the one and only truly special poi yen. i saw her coming down, not with a towel, but with god knows how many books and a kamus! a kamus! my, my, what a hardworking girl!

okay, enough beating around the bush, so we went down to the ground opposite the HALL OF CHARACTER and assembled there. that is the starting and finishing point too. a few ex students came such as KAR LIN's HOW HOW, ex-head prefect Yi Syuen and eherms..somebody's boii. i don wanna say who lah. =P

so the junior started the run 1st, followed by lower sr girls..and us! upper senior girls! woohoo! i can feel the adrenaline pumping in my body. lol. so when mr d blowed the whistle, i ran AFAIC(as fast as i could). after a while, lose steam already. see? but im gonna preserve enough energy to get me through the whole race. i kinda half-jogged half ran. when i reached the slope i walked as the slope is too steep.

i huffed and puffed my way to 5th place for Upper senior girls category. not bad huh? (perasan) at least i got a medal. TEEHEE.
