Yvonne's Wet 18th Birthday

who says the birthday girl was spared from getting wet? we were drenched from head to toe!

yesterday was Miss Yvonne Lee Xie Phei's 18th birthday..and we sure celebrated it in style!

woke up at 8 yesterday..as usual, i was kelam-kabut...luckily I wasn't too late when yvonne arrived to pick me up..

after picking everyone up, (me, Steph, Kha Hoi, Michelle and Min Yee), yvonne drove all the way to Sunway..

yvonne bought the tickets for the wet and dry park..initially we planned to go to the dry park itself but the ticket operator said that no matter what ,we still have to buy both of them.

RM 48 plus deposit RM 10 per person..

chucked our stuff in the RM 5 locker..(so bloody expensive)

headed for the wet park 1st,since if we get wet, there'll still be time to dry our wet clothes when we go on the rides in the dry park.

Min Yee, Kha Hoi, Michelle and I went on the water slides..there was one that I called the "black hole" as it was so freaking dark inside and we kept bumping the slide ! and then out of the blue we were just thrown out of the hole and phoosh! into the water..no warning at all! I was sitting in the front and I was cursing my choice as I got drenched more than Min Yee! i guess the momentum or inertia or whatever crap physics theory dealt the 1st blow on me..I suffered the full impact of the water!

but it was like an adrenaline rush..and I was wondering if we go more on those slides will we lose more carbs or something..since there's something in bio that says..nevermind. =P
(i still get science facts stuck in my head and I tend to blurt it out to my friends =X)

i was screaming all the way...!
then there was this surfboard thingy..there were six lanes..each of us took one lane..and down we went! that was the worst..i think..hmm, not. there was one more in the dry park ..."dry" kononnya, but all I saw was water!

I cant remember the names of the rides..they have some "glamourous" name like Niagara Falls Flume something..or I dont remember.lol. i was too busy having a blast.

saw lots of droolicious ang-mohs..
there were some rides that Min Yee,Steph and I didn't dare to go on..they looked insanely-scary!
but the adventurous trio (Michelle, Kha Hoi and Von) kept insisting it wasn't as scary as it looked..whatever! i'm not going for a 360 degrees spin with the machine dangling me in air.
yes, i'm a 'kia si" person. (scared to die)

the pirate ship and the tomahawk were no-no's for us three scaredy cats. too bad the lost city of gold was shut down for maintainence.

done with all the rides and badly sundrenched, (well me,not them), we went for a quick shower. Stomachs pleading to be filled, we settled down in Wendy's for some fast food.
Bought yvonne's present while Steph was keeping her distracted =P
it was a necklace and a soft toy.

then while me and Steph were keeping yvonne distracted, the other 3 secretly bought a cake from Zen. chocolate marshmellow cheese.

walked around aimlessly..saw rose in the skating rink..i half-regretted my decision to go to sunway lagoon..altogether i had to fork out about rm 70 in order to go to the wet park! should've joined rose in the skating rink. =P

received a call from the dudes...they were seated comfortably in italiannies already...*grr* didn't wait for us. so we went there and discovered that they've ordered their own food. something like gotta catch up with an appointment later . we girls ordered a large platter of chicken parmagiana..it was meant for sharing..thats what the italiannies motto says..so nice! so good! so share! hahahaha..what a good gimmick!

furthermore, we ordered the smoked salmon pizza..i know it comes with note:gross onions but who cares? i can close one eye on the onions as it is ITALIAN food! god knows i love italian food and jap food the most! =D *this is one of the primary reasons why I'm rarely slim and never thin*

the waiter served us some freshly-baked Italian bread..it came in two baskets with two servings of vinegar and olive oil. there were two types of bread: wholemeal and non-wholemeal. Mmmm,Yum, their wholemeal bread was nothing like those hard-rock typical wholemeal breat. and also the taste is so...enticing. The aroma of the bread just makes your nose twitch. LOL. why am i promoting the bread? i'm sure all ITALIAN bread are as nice as this. maybe some even nicer.

the smoked salmon was not bad too. it has a thin crust and is delicately crispy. not too cheesy and the salmon was a little raw,just the way i like it. did i say that i find smoked salmon more enjoyable then grilled salmon? grilled salmon makes the meat..rougher..sort of.

luckily,they sprinkled the onions on top of the pizza,and not like inserted them inside the pizza.or else i will have to use my finger to pick.that will make me look sort of rude.
the chicken parmiagana comes with a huge helping of tomatoes. great! again just how i like them. the tomatoes had a tangy flavour and not entirely sour, with some cheesy flavour and a hint of spices such as oregano and basil. the chicken was not deep-fried but more like a bit grilled. accompanied with pasta and a top layer of mozarella cheese. i ignored the onions..or were there onions? o.O

after main course,it was time for dessert. and we know whats on the menu. choc marshmellow cheese cake! min yee, KH and michelle pretended to go to the ladies in order to ask the waiter to bring the cake in...i think yvonne was genuinely surprised.good thing that she did not turn behind or she would've seen the cake..and ruin our surprise..so when the cake was set on the table..we sang the HB song..blew out the candles..fast forward..lol..divided the cake.each person had a slice. yum i love marshmellows! they are soft and spongy and me and Steph were wondering what would it taste like after being roasted.we should try it out sometime,maybe.

steph hated the cheese. i was ok with the cheese. overall i like the cake as they had a bottom crust where it tasted like cookies crumbs. after finishing everything up, took some photos which are..eherm with min yee..went home in yvonne's car..thats it for the day..curtains closing...tada..
