HAPPY SENSEI DAY

Word of the Day: Teacher

The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called "truth." ~Dan Rather

In teaching you cannot see the fruit of a day's work. It is invisible and remains so, maybe for twenty years. ~Jacques Barzun

A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. ~Henry Brooks Adams

A good teacher is like a candle - it consumes itself to light the way for others. ~Author UnknownLeave it to Beaver-->

The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires. ~William Arthur Ward

some quotes to stir your thoughts....

about teachers or senseis..(in japanese)

today was the day created in existence to honour all teachers on this living earth..our school was no different..a teacher needs a day to feel that he/she is being appreciated for what they have done for the students..

even though we may not see the tiny tiny details and the big big sacrifice that teachers have done for us, in reality teachers are the one of those people who mould us into what we will be in the next 10, 20, 30 years.

therefore...i would like to wish all teachers a HAPPY MIDNIGHT TEACHERS DAY..since it is MIDNIGHT..

we form fives worked our bodies flat for teachers day..but it was worth it..in the end it put a smile on most of the teachers' face..MOST OF...

we held a fear factor-campur-amazing race RACE during the morning. my duty is at the station where the participants(teams of teachers and students) are supposed to find marbles in a tin of yellow mee, tomato sauce and.......worms..

Pn Norliza totally freaked out..she was hysterical! others were just plainly disgusted ..mr darmindar almost vomited..lols..mr darmindar.."dai dai jek" (big-sized) but "sai dam" (little bravery)..

Then we had a special lunch for teachers and form 5s...and pui teng generously sponsored a secret recipe cake for the teachers.how sweet~~

next..the climax..performances..i was jittery and a bag of nerves when it was our turn to dance...luckily everything went smoothly..when i danced on the stage, its like my body move by itself..i was in a daze or something..later, i asked myself whether i had done all those things..i realised that i couldn't remember anythin at all..sheesh..but luckily our dance got quite alot of cheers...*grins* we weren't as pro as Silver Flair(shaun's dance crew) but we choreographed the dance by doing our research thru the net and MOST IMPORTANTLY YOUTUBE! thanks youtube founders! without u all..we would not have done it! =P

the teachers did a dance and drama themselves...not bad..there was this indian dance (or bhanggal dance?) and i saw darmindar, ms. pinky, mr yu , mr ganesh and a few more...i cant really remember shaking their butts on the stage..*whistles and cat-calls* but i was also laughing because mr yu is so not made for dancing indian dance! no offence..people were shaking..he was actually like twitching! or hopping around~ >< [DUN SCOLD ME]

the 2nd one was the ice-cream and kuetiao drama..the teachers done it before 2 years ago..i still remember it vividly..but i understand that the teachers have no time to plan a new drama..as they are "creating" our exam papers..according to some teachers..the mr chen or something..was brilliant as the small kid...he was really whiny! =.=

awards were also given out to teachers..
