You're not alone
Together we stand
I'll be by your side, you know I'll take your hand
When it gets cold
And it feels like the end
There's no place to go
You know I won't give in
No I won't give in
Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
SPM trial is the thing that's buggin everyone ( as in form 5 students) mind now..
this can be proven by the lack of blogging activity among the form 5 bloggers...
i would call this trial a 'small war'
and definitely the big war would be the real SPM itself..
along the way there would be many stumbles and hurdles, but i'm sure we will prevail in the end..=)
so come on troops! march on for SPM! and we'll have a hell-of-a-time during the three months break..
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! =)
P.S: sorry people, tagging me is strictly prohibited. might as well tag someone else who actually has the time to do it. =)
ciaos, till we meet two weeks from now....

EPL is back!!!
Liverpool won..sweet....stayed up till 2.30 am to watch the game..worth it..^^
Taken from liverpoolfc.tv
A dramatic strike from Fernando Torres has given Liverpool a 1-0 victory over Sunderland on the opening day of the Barclays Premier League season. The Spanish striker hit a 25-yard scorcher on 83 minutes following a much-improved second-half performance from Liverpool.
Victory comes as a welcome tonic for Benitez - who today responded to newspaper speculation by talking of his contentment on Merseyside - following Wednesday's disappointing display in the Champions League qualifier.
The Anfield boss made two changes from Liege, recalling Steven Gerrard and Sami Hyypia for Xabi Alonso and Daniel Agger - the latter pair having to settle for a place on the Premier League's new seven-man bench.
Sunderland, meanwhile, were without injured striker Kenwyn Jones, though Roy Keane was able to call on summer signings Steed Malbranque, Pascal Chimbonda and El-Hadji Diouf.
Like his new boss, Diouf is always up for a bit of needle, and a pre-match claim that his former teammates would be scared of his 'magic' surely raised the odd eyebrow in the away dressing room.
His boast might have been dubious, but the visiting backline did indeed look nervous in the opening exchanges, not least when a Hyypia backpass almost gave Diouf a free run on goal. Jamie Carragher had to be at his very best to save the day.
Another scare arrived on 13 minutes and, yes, Diouf was again in the thick of it, this time sending a perfect cross towards Daryl Murphy, who probably won't SkyPlus the season's first Match of the Day following a tame header into the arms of Pepe Reina.
Liverpool had still to threaten by the time Diouf sent a curling effort narrowly over on 26 minutes. In fact, it took more than half an hour for the visitors to record a first shot of the campaign, Gerrard dragging wide from distance.
The skipper, and therefore Liverpool, began to exert more control on proceedings as the half wore on, while teammate Robbie Keane almost broke the deadlock with a superb turn and shot on 40 minutes.
Not that Benitez would have been appeased as Alan Wiley signalled half-time. The Spaniard introduced Alonso for the second half, a decision which gained universal approval among the travelling fans who sang his name throughout the first.
If Alonso's presence ensured Liverpool's passing improved, it was Gerrard who probed whenever the ball entered Sunderland territory.
The number eight shot wide on 51 minutes after a one-two with Yossi Benayoun - who seconds later tested Craig Gordon from close range.
Whatever Benitez said at half-time, it seemed to be doing the trick, though a let off in the form of a scuffed shot from Diouf showed Sunderland still had life in them yet.
A gilt-edged chance arrived on 72 minutes when a Dirk Kuyt effort was spilled by Gordon, with Keane and Torres getting in one another's way as they pounced on the rebound.
Keane was withdrawn shortly after, with Kuyt moving into a central position and Nabil El Zhar entering the fray on the right.
Liverpool were throwing everything at their hosts - even a 60-yard effort from Alonso which, with Gordon in limbo, was only just off target.
Never mind, for the breakthrough, late and dramatic, was just minutes away, and the sweet feet of Alonso again played their part with a searching pass to Torres, who turned before beating Gordon with a 25-yard shot.
The travelling Kop bounced and bounced until the final whistle arrived seven minutes later, and for the second successive season their men have kicked off the campaign with a win.

beijing olympic ROCKS!
080808..who says that the Year of the Rat spells catastrophe for China? china put on a spectacular, breathtaking and multicultural , never-seen-before opening ceremony that left all the spectators and audience around the world stunned and amazed by the beauty of the culture and historical elements itself in the opening ceremony..
even the commentators were impressed, they quipped that no one would be able to achieve this feat, yet alone better it..
the opening ceremony started with a bang at 8 pm and ended at 11.35..well , to be honest, i dozed off during the part where the different contingents of athletes are doing their march..haha, luckily malaysia was one of the first batch of athletes to come out..
here are some of the action during the opening ceremony..i wanted to get more pics but couldn't do so..
FIREWORKS! no olympic opening ceremony is complete without these!
the wonderful glittering olympic logo...being hoisted up..
lol..chinese ancient warriors! all of them look alike! take a closer look at their headgear..(lol i donno what's that thing called)...it resembles a chinese calligraphy brush!
a built-in replica of the famous chinese ancient palaces..
the opening ceremony kicked off to a start with the countdown to 8.00 pm..they counted down from 60 seconds..man, that was soo cool! from the top, it looks like a digitally-generated countdown timer..but in reality, if u look closely, the "so called digital countdown timer" is actually made up of men pounding on blocks of light! when they pound, the blocks emit white light...the whole thing is done very systematically and orderly..so that it looks shimmering and glittering from the top..
on the blocks are ancient chinese sun-dials if im not mistaken..the opening ceremony showcased lots of chinese inventions, art, culture, and history.
next, if im not mistaken, is a chinese little girl singing...omgod..she is soo brave! singing her heart out in front of millions of people..that must've taken alot of courage..
i couldn't really remember the sequence afterwards...i remembered them showing the art of calligraphy and chinese paintings..there was a GIANT scroll on the floor, and it kept churning out canvas depicting the cultural elements of china...whilst there were dancers(or more like acrobatic dancers) painting on the main canvas.using their hands and feet! they were cartwheeling over , jumping gracefully here and there, and their legs and hands were all the while painting a picture...it was a genius plan...kudos to the directors..one of which is zhang yimou..the critically-acclaimed director..
then there was a guy dressed up as an emperor holding an ancient chinese compass or something.. other than that, there was also a chinese opera performance...musical performances such as the gu zhen and the piano...
another nicely-crafted event was the tai chi performance..all the martial art sifus were organised and well-timed..so that from the top, it looked like a moving carpet..lol (from my mum's view)...
if there is anybody whom have not seen the opening ceremony, i urge u to watch it..u will regret if u dont...
am looking forward to next week..where all the real sporting action begin..^^

its AUGUST!!
aug 2008..i believe this is the month the chinese like...the other being CHINESE NEW YEAR MONTH...
8 is an auspicious number in chinese beliefs..it actually means "prosperity"
i, for one, is looking forward to the month of august because of a few things, namely:
1. The Beijing Olympics
talk bout auspicious! the chinese would cling on to this date 080808 like a baby! and so, the beijing olympics start off on 8th of aug..olympics come around only once in four years..so im definitely not missing this one! especially when its taking place in asia...talking bout 4 years..if u live up to 80, u only get to watch the olympics for 16 times! (i'm assuming that only people above 12 years of age would watch this event)..
2. The English Premier League (EPL)
its EPL season again! i cant wait..its approximately one week after the beijing olympics signalled its start..16th of aug.football fans out there (like me) will be anticipating this day...i checked the schedules..first match..liverpool vs sunderland..away..aw...why does liverpool always play away on the 1st match of the season? i've got to admit, these few months (EPL-less), i missed the time (usually saturdays) when my whole family would stay in and watch Gerrard & Co. battle it out...with the help of some tasty snacks..chocolate..yum!
On the other hand, not looking forward to...
Trials. Studying for the trials. Burning the midnight oil or lamp ,whatever, for the trials. sipping nescafe so that i can stay awake till the wee hours of the morning for trials. drinking brand's essence of chicken in the morning so that i wont fall asleep during the trials.memorising every single bit of info as if they were my life or death....
and of course..in the near future..SPM..11 nov to 27 nov..just acquired the timetable..
