by the way, i was way overcharged today for some lousy canteen food

a whopping RM 4.00

i couldn't believe my ears when the canteen uncle told me the price of my economy rice(zhap fan)

how is it suppose to be economical when even we students have to pay RM 4 for two dishes only?

i was flabbergasted..seriously..guess what dish i took? a piece of bean curd and three small pieces of chicken (those with bones-and seriously, the meat is not that much)

are they taking advantage of the fact that we are private school students, and therefore are able to pay more for a plate of rice,even though they know the price is not worth it..

if they were in our shoes, would they pay RM 4 for such dishes?? i dont think so..because its outrageous..

see thats the problem with the petrol price hike..hawkers are jumping at the chance of increasing their prices even though some of the food doesn't have anything to do with the increase in petrol rates..

gosh..inflation is everywhere...even in our school..thats scary..

being able to blog as freely as i like...due the absence of a device that enables me to do so..but no worries..that device will be made available to me very soon...*cheers*

i will just cap off my week with a short summary...

Monday: whatdidido? i guess not much..did my homework,its back to serious business..no more lazing around and stuff like that...the teachers are starting to work us all up again..for trial..

Tues: opened my hotmail inbox, to no avail, to have a look at the a-level maths questions that ms paulina sent me..damn hotmail..or damn my internet connection...eee..stressnya...

Wed: revised add maths as preparation for the Sunway A-levels Maths and Logic Challenge tomorrow..gosh..took a look at the questions..seriously..7 papers? u've gotta be kidding..7 papers of maths! including something that resembles physics..*groans* i was hoping there will be no physics whatsoever after SPM...

Thurs: SUNWAY A-LVLS MATHS N LOGIC CHALLENGE! well, the trip itself was a "joyride"...never experienced it before, and wouldn't want to experience it again...probablity was our lifesaver, and we didn't win. end of story. xP but still, it was fun to be able to skip classes and eat McD's for lunch..compared to being overcharged for unhealthy and barely tasty food in school..

Fri: was really accident-prone in PE (physical education). played a game of basketball and a series of misfortune dogged me. first, twisted my hand. (it was okay the next day). 2nd, slipped on a puddle of water, but managed to avoid falling on my butt by supporting my body with my hand. urghh. 3rd, kar lin knocked my specs (not off), but up my nose with her flailing hands..luckily i didn't get a cut on my nose..

in the afternoon, the interhouse games commenced. boys basketball. there were a few funny incidents during the match of yellow vs green. there were two basketballs available for the game.first, somebody must be assuming his teammate is in the jungle, since he threw the ball really high, and it landed in the jungles. no sweat, another ball left. then..this time, another guy has the sense (or no sense) to throw the ball so high that it landed in the same position as the 1st ball..so that poor guy has to go and collect the ball..by climbing up the wall..then standing precariously on the wall to take the ball..i love watching the boys basketball match, although it is no NBA, at least it was faster and more furious than the girls..

sat: here i am..relaxing at home..bloggin with my low-speed dial up internet..

i was kinda gobsmacked that time, fully tricked into believing that my best friend is actually so naive..

third, when i open the box, and realise, to my relief, its not a kitty bank,but a SEED plastic bag

fourth: and got deceived by her again, when i checked the label, and my eyes did not deceive me, i saw Z A R A and not S E E D.

time really flies..

i've been blogging for a year and two months now..


on the other hand, the Sunway College's A-Levels Maths and Logic Challenge is next thurs...

i'm not prepared yet..guess i've to buck up on my maths this weekend..

study the pages off my book...

the last time i saw it, the prizes offered in this competition were very lucrative..

if i'm not mistaken, the grand prize is a full scholarship to study a-levels in sunway

i'm so gonna work hard on it!

P.S: past contestants of this challenge from our school (SSS) , can u give me a rough idea on what the competition's like?

P.P.S: who knows how to plot a graph using ICT? gosh its so frustrating, i've tried everything,excel, etc wont work. Gahh

back to work...

no more relaxing, fooling around or procrastinating.

this is it.

9 days after the 2nd term exams and its time to get back to square one and start revising for the upcoming trial..it may seem far..but time has an annoying characteristic..it flies..

first of all, i have an add maths project to kau tim...

today we did the pendulum experiment: me, set wern, michelle and yuen june in a group

the pendulum keep rotating and not oscillating...==

so we had to repeat the experiment many times..

after physics and add maths, it was chemistry

suspense was hanging like a thin veil in the air

everyone was preparing for the worst, yet everyone was still hoping for the best with a little sense of optimism..

the end result: lots of people flopped

i'm so lucky to get A1

i almost missed out on that though

actually, i thought i missed out

i counted my total marks to be 84, which is one mark short of A1!

i rued my silly mistakes and illogical answers...especially one question where i sort of drew the tube poking through the basin! the questions in the chemistry paper must have driven me crazy...xP

then when mr yu asked us to tell out our total marks, i said 84

Mr Yu: i thought u add 1 mark for your paper 3 already??

Me:(with the blur expression) huh? ya-meh? err..wait ar..
*jabs calculator quickly , hoping that i did not put in that one mark..waiting..waiting..heart leaps in joy to see a pretty 84.5 on the calculator screen*

Me: err..yeah ...84.5..

Mr Yu: means 85 la..

sheesh..so fish..

and then the "illogical" experiment..i couldn't recall drawing the delivery tube through..like really through the basin...

and then everyone wanted to see my "masterpiece"..since nobody had done such a dumb thing...==

what ignited my passion for japanese stuff again?

yesterday my mum went to the salon to change her look...

from short and curly to short, straight and edgy..i love her new look! will post the photos soon..

then my mum asked the hairstylist, his name is BUD...yes, its a he...no, he's not a sissy, he has muscles! (but a big belly-or so he says to my mum) what hairstyle suits me(as I told her after SPM i would like a change for my hair,since i've been such a good girl and not done anything to my hair except cut it)

and he said, well there are some japanese hairstyles that would suit your daughter..and immediately whipped out some glossy mags..

then my mum quipped: a lot of people say my daughter look like a japanese

MR BUD says: yeah! i think she looks like one too, but i don't know your daughter well, so i didn't dare to tell her..

!!!!!

do i look like a cold person who would snub anybody who is talking to me?

then, he showed me some very adorable hairstyles, something similar to what i want..i swear he could read my mind! even the colour he suggested is almost similar to what i have in mind..

i couldn't find something VERY SIMILAR to what he showed me on the internet..and this is the closest one ..the colour though, is a bit wrong..i want more of a sunshine-y colour...

luckily i didn't jump up like that time when rose told us the "susie" story...

rose,steph, min yee, yvonne, kar lin, kah yerng, kha hoi, and michelle celebrated my BELATED BIRTHDAY with me today during lunch...

steph proudly proclaimed to me that she bought the cake..

and then she asked me: nice or not?

to which i replied nice...

yes it was indeed delicious..chocolate cheese cake..

i wonder how many kilos am i now?

i was like 3/4 full that time..so i kinda forced the cake into my stomach..

and KHONG PUI TENG, who i knows would like her name to be credited in this blog...xP..gave me a present at the end of the day..

she was up there..and i was down there..and she was like, u dont want ar?

at 1st i couldn't understand what she say by dont want..so i thought she meant do i want to choi her..so i cheekily said NO

then she said: suan la! dont want then dont want la!

to which i realised that her hand is holding a paper bag and a card..

sorry lor..i didn't know at that time..

she gave me a spongebob squarepants mug set...or should i say..mini-mug..

spongebob is quite cute..

and a card from memory lane which says..to the BEST SISTER IN THE WORLD..if i'm not mistaken...

haha..thanks ya my lil' sis...

and yeah, i 'll still remember u when i go overseas for studies..xP

today a few exam papers came back..

the tembak-ed paper got 88! nice auspicious number..add maths la.!

i love the high-speed drama too...adrenaline pumping all over the body..

haha..min yee told me that day that her mum said this movie was not nice..in my opinion, it's not bad..but i think the reason why alot of people dont like this movie is they dont understand the plot...maybe u have to possess imaginative skills like me! =P

but if u understand the storyline, the action's not all that bad..quite adrenaline-pumping...

my couzzie spent me on movies and a 1901 hotdog! since i didn't have my lunch...

later her boy came over and gave me a secret recipe box! i was like geez..thanks...




its a chocolate brownie..brownies look adorable..but when you eat them, they are kinda thick..and you can feel the rich taste of chocolate melting in your mouth, mixing with the salivary amylase which is ready to turn it into maltose... (!!!!)

although , to be honest, it kinda lost its appeal to me later on as my stomach doesn't rise early..its still sleeping and therefore only tolerates a small amount of food...

so i just gave half of the brownie to my mum, who looked at it with a utterly painful and "do i have to eat that?" expression. pretty much explains how she feel bout chocolate brownies.

and then a moment later, she points at her tooth saying: too sweet lah! my teeth is pain now...

anyway, rewinding back to yesterday, after my cousin and her boy left , my mum and I enjoyed our dinner at the Inakatei Japanese Restaurant in Leisure Mall..

i didn't take any pictures of the food..i was afraid people would stare at me like i was a moron..><

we took a look at the menu, and agreed to swap food ..my mum ordered the "don't know what name" udon..which sucked to the max...16.90 for a bowl of udon with fish balls??? and a soggy tempura prawn? plus some veggies? u gotta be crazy..i swear i'll never noodles there any time soon...

the set that i ordered made up for the unimpressive udon..33.90 for the set.i again, forgot the name of the set..but its the one with the raw fish, tempura, other assortments, rice, miso soup and two pieces of watermelon. the waitress keep stressing "raw fish" many times, and i was a little annoyed about that..maybe she was just being cautious so as to warn the customer about the "contents" of the set..

the raw fish was fresh..but i found the salmon to be a little thick..they should cut into thinner slices so that i do not have to bite through the thick layer of fish myotome muscles..i like salmon but i like it thin..preferably with lime..to get rid of the "fishy" taste..again, they failed to provide the lime...

the tempura is okay..oh ya there 's a piece of tofu..mm..the tofu is nice..i like the sauce..it has the same colour as the "hou yao" (oyster sauce) but not the same artificial taste..and there are shreds of some unknown stuff served with the tofu, to which i observed and told my mum when the dish just came : yer, look at those things! why are they moving? are they alive? , to which my brain responded by saying its absurb..surely they dont serve live food here..must have been the fan..

after dinner went to popular..i wanted to get HOT mag..but i couldn't find it so Hello! would be a good alternative...

went back..watched the match between roger federer and rafael nadal in the wimbledon tennis final..epic match..though i didn't finish watching...i don't think anybody watched the whole match..except my father...== he said he stayed up till 5 am to watch the game...what a long match! of cos nadal won..duh , he's spanish..xP

SWEET SIXTEEN but not really sweet.

thanks for all u guys birthday wishes and messages, i really appreciate it..since today morning my handphone has been beeping non-stop..

ok lahs..not beeping non-stop, maybe 2 times more messages than usual...

every girl's is for her sweet sixteen to be purr-fect..

turns out my wish could not be granted..

but still, life has to carry on..

i'm older and wiser and more mature now....=P

hope so la.... ><

anyhow, although the pavillion thingy is cancelled, i'm still going out today..

my couzzie has invited me for a birthday movie treat..thanks kay!

going to leisure..(although not as grand as pavillion, but still better than nothing..)

alas! the "killer" exams have ended! although it is not liberty from exams completely, at least i have endured a tiring, sleep-depriving and brain cells-killing two weeks of studying and studying and studying...

and LUCKILY my birthday is after the exams..

i dont know what i would do if my birthday were during exams

today's paper was BIO...

paper 3 was okay..i managed to read the BOD..(note: not hot bod, as in biochemical oxygen demand..)

paper 1..er..okay..maybe a few hurdles and doubts here and there..

paper 2..hmm..well..i must admit the questions are a little unusual..i expected something else..but still...manageable..

anyways! its stress-free time for now!!!

i'm going out on sunday with my friends..

the day i escaped from my mother's placenta...

yes..it's MY BIRTHDAY!

okay i sound a wee bit childish right now..

since its the last year of my high school

i hope to have a memorable birthday celebration with my homies..

and get alot of gifts! haha..i'm greedy...=P

but on monday we would have to face the harsh realities of exam..

u excel in some and "fail" in some...

i hope there are more "excel"s than "fail"s

anyways if my exam results are really that miserable, on the bright side, i'd still have time to improve before the trial starts in around sept..

i'm hook on to nike and adidas bags at the moment..u know, the originals...

i have a lack of bags!

gosh i need to fill up my bag compartment..its nowhere near half-full..xP
