Gr-8!!

wow. i kinda regret that i didn't sacrifice my beauty sleep for last night's Liverpool Champions League match against Besiktas. Because i've never seen them score 8 goals before! what a cracking game! but luckily today afternoon there was a repeat and i seized the chance to watch the record-breaking match. it was a game of records because it was the 100th game for Sami Hyppia in Champions League! and Liverpool hit 8 past the hapless goalkeeper.Never before have any team scored 8 goals and conceded none in the Champions League. Last time Monaco did manage to score 8 but they also conceded 3 goals to Deportivo La Coruna. So that wasnt counted. Poor goalkeeper. he looked absolutely crushed at the end of the game. must be a nightmare for him. ^^(sadist)

wanted to post some pix of the match but couldn't find it yet. yossi benayoun showed real flair and creativity, he was the goalscorer and playmaker yesterday! a hattrick!! and voronin was good but unfortunately couldn get a goal. Crouch showed once again why he is so feared throughout the world, because he is SOOO tall, the other defenders couldn't stop him from scoring with his head!!

gerrard was decent in this game, grabbed a nice goal and super-sub Ryan Babel grabbed a brace! and i like that backheel flick of his into the net. yet his goals yesterday were all out of the blue goals! another one he scored with the back when the defender tried to backpass to his goalkeeper.
