its official. lim goh tong or as i call him, BAPA GENTING has passed away at the age of 90. Actually ashley had already posted the news in her msn display message but today's newspaper confirmed the loss of an acclaimed and great entrepeneur. (entrepeneur is spelled like that innit?) It was reported that he died of old age. well, he was 90, almost a centenerian! and he was a great man. till this day, no other man has achieved this feat of building a mega company from scratch. Forbes rated him in the top 20 (or was that 200?) billionaires in the world. not bad eh for a simple man who hails from the province of fujian in china.

without him malaysia would never have the honour of hosting a world-known casino. tourists flock to malaysia every year not just for the sun or the beack but also the casinos.genting casinos are like a cheaper version of las vegas. i still scratch my head about how he can build such a complex resort on a hill! now that's what we called a GREAT MALAYSIAN.
